Tile

There are a lot of different styles of tile to choose from. Tile is available in porcelain, ceramic, glass, or natural stone. With the variety of sizes available many decorative patterns can be created to showcase your floor, tub surround, shower, or kitchen backsplash. Tile is a beautiful, durable floor that will last for years to come.

Dura Ceramic offered by Mohawk is a limestone composite material made to simulate real tile. Dura Ceramic is an easy maintained, durable alternative to real tile. The feel is warmer to the touch, and quieter than real tile. Dura Ceramic can be installed directly to your solid, level sub-floor or over existing linoleum. It is adhered to the floor in a similar manor to real tile; there is a special formulated mastic to adhere the tile to the sub-floor. Dura Ceramic can be grouted using the special premixed, stain guarded grout or you may choose not to grout the tile at all. Dura Ceramic can be set and grouted all in the same day, opposed to real tile where you have to wait 24 hours after setting before you can grout. Dura Ceramic can be cut with a utility knife or regular circular saw. A diamond wet saw is not needed. Plus the fact that the concrete backer board does not have to be laid over the existing sub-floor all contribute to less installation time.
